I am an Indian communication designer and educator currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland where I am a PhD Design student at the Edinburgh College of Art. Previously I was based in Colombo, Sri Lanka where I worked as full time design faculty at the Academy of Design, Northumbria University Newcastle. I have previously studied graphic design and worked as a designer in Bangalore, India and Edinburgh, Scotland before moving to Sri Lanka in January 2014.

I’m interested in using visual communication design as a tool to initiate social and cultural dialogue; my MA thesis, for example, explored the significance of multilingualism in a globalising world and the need to preserve vernacular culture. My work involves experiments combining analogue techniques with digital media. I love colour, pattern, and whimsy. In my spare time I plan elaborate travel itineraries and attempt to polish my culinary skills.
Send me an email, I'd love to hear from you.
