I am an Indian communication designer and educator living in Scotland where I am working towards a PhD in design education at Edinburgh College of Art. Previously, I was based in Sri Lanka where I worked as full-time design faculty at the Academy of Design, a transnational partner institute of Northumbria University Newcastle. I studied visual communication design and practiced as a graphic designer in India and Scotland before moving to Sri Lanka in January 2014.

My design practice involves experiments using visual communication design as a tool to initiate social and cultural dialogue. My MA thesis, for example, explored the significance of multilingualism in a globalising world and the need to preserve vernacular culture. I enjoy combining analogue techniques with digital media and love colour, pattern, and whimsy. In my spare time, I plan elaborate travel itineraries and attempt to polish my culinary skills.
Send me an email, I would love to hear from you.
